Pickens County Inmate Profile Fields

Current and Released Pickens County Inmates
The current roster covers people who are presently listed at the Pickens County Detention Center. The 48-hour release roster covers people released during the prior two days. That second view is important in Pickens County because a fast bond, court release, outside-agency pickup, or transfer can remove a person from the current list before family members finish searching.

Pickens County has two detention facilities in the project Facility Map, but only one is the local county jail. The Pickens County Detention Center is the sheriff-operated facility for local jail inmate records. Federal Correctional Institution Aliceville is a federal prison for sentenced female federal offenders. The Alabama Department of Corrections facility list did not show a state prison in Pickens County.

Pickens County Jail Visitation Rules
County jail visits require planning. The official visitation PDF says appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 205-367-2006. Visits run Monday through Friday, except holidays and court days, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The appointment phone is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attorneys can visit without an appointment under the rules described in the PDF.

Mail and Money for Pickens County Inmates
The research did not locate an official Pickens County jail mail address format, commissary vendor, deposit vendor, phone provider, video provider, tablet program, or local money-fee schedule on the sheriff pages inspected. Do not import vendor claims from unofficial directories. The practical step is to call the detention center before mailing property, arranging funds, or setting up calls.
State prisoners are different. ADOC uses Access Secure Deposits for money and changed personal mail to digital tablet delivery in 2025, with a processing address in San Antonio for personal mail. Federal prisoners are different again. The BOP inmate locator covers federal inmates from 1982 to present and supports number or name searches. FCI Aliceville is searched through BOP, not the Pickens sheriff roster.
Immigration custody requires extra care because ICE records document a Pickens County Detention Center inspection and an IGSA contract. A person in ICE civil detention may be physically tied to the county jail yet still need the ICE Online Detainee Locator or ICE detention reporting channel. ICE custody does not create a public federal mugshot gallery, and ICE advises visitors to confirm hours and restrictions before travel.
